Students can go to Discussion Board on communicator to find the files for PacMan and Scrolling game. Use these files to finish your own Scratch file. Give it your own flair. Post your own version of the scratch project to the discussion board by the end of class.Remember choose PACMAN or SCROLLING (you don't want to post to both but choose your best).

Period 1 and 3 began with creating a maze game from scratch. We drew the maze and the sprite. Tomorrow we will work on the various components to make the sprite go through the maze and program the arrow keys to move. Period 3 finished programming arrow keys of the sprites so we will finish the maze and then move on to Scrolling in Scratch.

Today we looked at sounds in Scratch and how to work with our USB mics and headsets. Students added more sound and changed the looks of sprites using the edit tools. Programming is getting more advanced as students start asking questions like "How do I get my sprite to bounce and then come back without flipping?".

1.3

We looked at Scratch as a class. We looked specifically at how to change the sprites and move them. We also added new stage backgrounds. We spent the last few minutes of class looking at student examples at Scratch.Mit.Edu's site.
