Students created a real-tim graph based on their own generated questions. I checked each student chart as a quiz score.

Students created new charts based on a weather report from Seattle Times based on snowfall last night in the mountains. We also created a pie chart and discussed the difference in charts when a pie chart is part of the whole.

Students created charts from the survey questions. We discussed the Science Formal Lab Reports and how complete charts need to be for credit. Students have homework of sorts. The need to have created their own survey question and then ask students to get a response. The Friday quiz will be their complete charts.

Students interviewed each other and asked questions based on survey questions. At the end of the period students input this information into spreadsheets available on the communicator site.

Excel unit begins today. Students worked with concepts like autofill, formatting cells, changing sheet names and using borders. 3rd period will need some refreshing with borders on Tuesday.
