Students looked at more tools in Sketchup including the measuring tool.  We measured out a dorm room using the measuring tape and started outfitting a dorm room.

Students began with Tutorials with Sketch Up, getting started and using the first tools.

1.23-27

Students worked with open source software on both our district desktop computers and our netbooks: Gimp.

We looked through the various menus, saving files as jPegs and importing these images into MovieMaker for titles and into PowerPoint for presentations.

Finally on Friday, we imported photos taken with digital cameras and adjusted with existing filters.

Students were working with Ribbon Hero or moving on to Kodu to see some new game programming software.

1.10-1.13

Student have been working on their commercials for products to debut at CES 2013. Commercials are due on Thursday, 1.19 so I can add these to our district approved website. Commercials will be available as soon as Friday morning.

Students can go to Discussion Board on communicator to find the files for PacMan and Scrolling game. Use these files to finish your own Scratch file. Give it your own flair. Post your own version of the scratch project to the discussion board by the end of class.Remember choose PACMAN or SCROLLING (you don't want to post to both but choose your best).

Students in these classes nearly finished a PacMan game. We also started on a Scrolling feature in Scratch.
